What Purser reads from Shopify, what it writes back, what it keeps, and how to export or delete everything.

What Purser reads from Shopify
Products, variants, SKUs, barcodes, inventory levels and locations. That is what a purchase order and a receiving screen need to exist.
What Purser writes back to Shopify
- Inventory quantities, when you receive stock.
- Unit cost and retail price, when you edit them on the receiving screen.
Nothing else. Purser does not read or write your orders, your customers, your themes or your storefront.
What Purser stores of its own
Your suppliers, purchase orders, receipts, bills, payments, credit notes and cost history — the ledger. This is data you created in Purser, and it exists because a purchase-order history that vanishes is not a history.
Getting it out
The payables ledger exports as CSV from within the app, on every plan. Purchase orders download as PDFs.
Deleting it
Uninstalling Purser from your Shopify admin is the instruction to delete. Shopify notifies Purser, and the shop's data is removed. If you want it gone sooner, or want written confirmation that it is gone, email us and ask — that is a request we are obliged to honour and happy to.
