Getting started
Getting started with Purser
Install Purser, connect your suppliers, and get to your first purchase order in about ten minutes.

Purser installs into your Shopify admin like any other app. There is no separate account to create and no password to remember — if you are logged into Shopify, you are logged into Purser.
What to do first
Install the app
Purser appears under Apps in your Shopify admin. It asks for permission to read your products and to read and write your inventory, because receiving stock means writing stock levels back into Shopify. It does not ask for access to your customers or your orders.
Add your suppliers
A supplier needs a name. Everything else — email address, lead time, payment terms — is optional and can be filled in later. If you are coming from Stocky, do not type them in by hand: import them instead.
Set your opening costs
If you already hold stock, Purser needs to know what it cost you, or the first weighted average it calculates will be wrong. The CSV import is the fastest way to do this. See 'Import your history from Stocky'.
Raise your first purchase order
Pick a supplier, add the variants you are ordering, set the quantities and the unit costs, and save. That is the whole flow.
What Purser changes in Shopify
Purser writes to two things in Shopify, and only two: inventory quantities, when you receive stock, and product cost and price, when you edit them on the receiving screen. It does not touch your orders, your customers, your themes or your storefront.
