The free plan
Five purchase orders a month, and every other feature switched on: accounts payable, weighted-average cost, receiving, credit notes, corrections, voids, the full history, the CSV import and the CSV export.
Nothing that protects the integrity of your ledger is ever behind the paywall. The moment a merchant cannot correct a mistake because they are on the free tier, the ledger is untrustworthy — and an untrustworthy ledger is worth nothing on any plan.
What Pro adds
- Unlimited purchase orders.
- Emailing purchase orders straight to your suppliers.
That is genuinely the whole list. Sending email is the one thing Purser does that costs real money every single time it happens; everything else is compute already paid for, and charging you twice for it would be a con.
How the allowance works
It counts purchase orders you raise in a calendar month, and it resets on the 1st. A month, not a rolling thirty days, so you can look at a calendar and know where you stand. Cancelled orders do not count. Orders brought in by CSV import do not count.
When you reach five, you are asked to upgrade if you want to raise a sixth. Nothing else stops. You can still receive stock against orders you already raised, record payments, correct mistakes, run the aging report and export everything.
If you cancel
You drop to the free plan and your data stays exactly where it is. Purchase orders, bills, payments and cost history all remain readable and exportable. We do not delete a ledger to make a point.
How you are charged
Through Shopify. The charge appears on your normal Shopify invoice, and you change or cancel the plan from your Shopify admin, not from Purser. Purser never sees, handles or stores a card number.
